I should just stop reading Holly’s blog before sitting down to write for all y’all. Her stories about life in China (like this one about her May Holiday) make me feel all tawdry and superficial. It’s not her fault. She just seems to connect to things much better than I do.
I’ve put up a few pictures from my death-defying trip to the mountains though and will write later.

Ask me sometime about the moments when I had no interest in even looking for the bridge over a cultural gap that big. Then maybe you can tell me about how it feels to spend your time with people who like you for other than your English.
